Realistic concrete material - Epic Developer Community Forums
Jul 29, 2014 · Hello, I would like to learn how to create a photo realistic concrete material for the stadium I’m building. I have tried for days now to achieve one, but since I’ve never created a material before the results are not so satisfying. I have used nDo to create a normal map and a specular map. Choose one of these 2 textures, unless you have a better one.

Nov 22, 2019 · Could simply make an image of a brick texture in Photoshop or Inkscape (free, similar app to PS), and use a white mask to start the middle area of concrete. Then get a concrete texture from the texture generator or other source (Quixel megascans for instance), and add it to the image over the white, opaque middle area.

Dec 2, 2015 · Hi, i have a concrete unit mesh. i want to apply material to it which randomize itself each time with each instance of the mesh; because otherwise its looks too repetetive. can i achieve that in unreal? here is the screenshot. The wall is not a single mesh! Every concrete unit is instances of concrete unit mesh; this is not a big wall texture tiling.

Jan 15, 2022 · What setting needs to be fixed? (these are from Quixel/Bridge downloads) It’s a simple concrete material. It is oversized. Even oversized, it looks off…like bump map is not really correct or something.

Apr 9, 2015 · I want it to be tiling though instead. I tried looking for this Addressing category but can’t seem to find anything like it. I was able to do it for my floor tiling texture by increasing the Utiling and Vtiling under a TexCoord. I tried it with a concrete material and it doesn’t work. Apr 12, 2015 · When I went into the M_Concrete_Tiles and set the TexCoord from .5/.5 to 5/5 it looked better, for the floor texture, but when I tried to increase it for the wall texture M_Concrete_Poured to something like 1 / 25 and 25 / 1 and nothing changes. I am not sure if I’m not changing the right TexCoord’s values for UTiling and VTiling.

Mar 23, 2015 · When you importing texture you could enable and disable sRGB (Linear Color) or change compression type. Later when you use this texture in material you have to use appropriate sampler type
