I have double checked every time that I'm running OptiFine (1.20.4), and have checked the OptiFine files, and there is definitely a shader folder, with shaders in it.

Apr 25, 2023 · Rethinking voxels is a fun one to mess around with. It adds in more accurate lighting and shadows to the game using ray tracing tech (it also has colored lighting). It's not the most realistic but it enhances the minecraft look in a new way.
