Pouring a concrete driveway in segments - Adventure Rider
Jun 13, 2008 · For a residential driveway, I wouldn't recommend less than 5" thick, 3500psi, 5 1/2 sack mix concrete. Where you live, you need entrained air in the concrete mix to deal with freeze-thaw damage- ask for 5%, +/- 1% in the mix. For an exterior pour you do not need poly under the slab. Reinforcing in the slab is controversial.
Demo'd driveway.....how much to haul concrete away?
Mar 27, 2011 · This was for concrete with steel mesh- chunks from an old floor. I think cost is going to vary dramatically from place to place, mostly depending on how close to C&D waste landfill you are. Just remember that when you're calculating a volume of material for disposal purposes, you won't be able to fill an entire 15yd rolloff with concrete chunks ...

New cement- how much to water during cure in summer?
Jul 29, 2005 · Evenutally the water in concrete is replaced with CO2. This is why really old concrete is so hard. Cover with visqueen, then throw those old blankets and stuff like old rugs etc you should have thrown out but didn't over it. Or buy some straw, soak it and put over the visqueen. It may stain the concrete a little but that will go away in a few ...
Removing rust stains from cement driveway - Adventure Rider
Oct 18, 2005 · The driveway was pristine until a very rusty Jeep parked in it and after two days of heavy rains there is a HUGE, dark rust stain that follows the water drainage path down the sidewalk (also cement or concrete) and ultimately to the street. I would never have believed this could happen. Any inmate has experience removing rust stains from cement?
Dump Truck Driving Over Culvert - Adventure Rider
Jun 29, 2015 · Dirt driveway. Looking to get some ledge pack delivered. There are two plastic culverts it would have to drive over. Not exactly sure how much material is over them. They're about 18" diameter. A log truck with a full grapple load of fire wood had no issue. I mean, the house has a poured foundation so at one point cement trucks had to get up there.
2005 DL1000 (VStrom) - $3000 (reduced) - Adventure Rider
Oct 20, 2024 · Does not drip or burn oil. Have some drips on the concrete but it's chain lube. (Replaced the chain and both sprockets a month ago after a SaddleSore run). Ready for another SaddleSore or a Fly-N-Ride $3200. Birmingham Alabama (if flying in) --- I now live 50 miles east in Cropwell, AL but can meet you in Birmingham, at the airport etc.

GasGas EW500F, ES500F, EC500F | Adventure Rider
Feb 17, 2015 · The EW also has the choked up emissions, muffler with spark arrestor, and airbox baffles like the ES. I beleive the EC model does not have those. I think it will be fine for me as is since it is a 500 after all. Getting excited to ride it, I've been tied up with family obligation or it's been pouring since I brought it home.
Review / SW-Motech SysBag WP Panniers - Adventure Rider
May 15, 2023 · I get why SW-Motech named these panniers SysBag WP. The WP stands for waterproof, and indeed, the bag’s interior is completely waterproof. The following pictures of the panniers in this review have already been on a 2,000-mile+ on and off-road trip. Two of those days were spent in pouring down rain conditions.
