Mar 13, 2012 · The reason being? Well, some mods (specifically those that you have to drop into minecraft.jar) modify core classes. Other mods have no way (short of seeing the source code of that mod) to know what was altered, which sometimes leads to conflicts when they try to use a part of the core code that no longer functions the way they expect it to.

Get the LiteLoader installer from the LiteLoader thread here. Last tested version was 1.6.2-01; Run the installer with the default options. Open the Minecraft Launcher, and pick the LiteLoader Profile.
