Nov 19, 2003 · And for some reason, I absolutely adore Exile On Main Street, which may be unusual for someone who isn't that big of a Stones fan. I do tend to think of it as their "white album," just the difference for me is that I don't like the white album nearly as much. Both are an odd, sprawling collection of songs, many unusual by the respective bands.

Jun 11, 2015 · Exile was probably better and the LP sides were relatively short, which helps, but I don't remember my original pressing sounding particularly good. Unfortunately it was stolen one night when I was deejaying (we all need our pee breaks).

May 26, 2007 · The Virgin remasters of STICK FINGERS and EXILE ON MAIN STREET were happy cases where the discs exceeded my expectations of what was possible, based on my vinyl and first-generation CDs. The Virgins got more music off the tape than I ever suspected was there, without scrubbing it squeaky clean. The rhythm sections sounds especially fine.
