Set up meetings with Copilot. As a meeting organizer, you can decide how and if participants can use Copilot. Even if you don’t have a license, you're in control of Copilot for meetings you organize.

Copilot in Microsoft Teams chat and channels helps you get up to speed on conversations by quickly reviewing the main points, action items, and decisions without having to scroll through long threads.

If you don't want to record or transcribe confidential meetings in Teams, you can still engage with Copilot when it's set to "Only during the meeting" in your Meeting options. When you join a meeting, select Copilot to open it on the right of the meeting view.

There are two settings here that can cause Copilot to not appear in your Microsoft 365 apps. First confirm that Experiences that analyze your content is turned on. Then scroll down and make sure that All connected experiences is turned on.

Only Microsoft 365 Copilot licensed users can add AI-generated notes to a meeting or start them during a meeting. However, any meeting participant (excluding external participants) can see all real-time updates in Notes.
