Love this blower, use it all the time. Had it about 18 months, i think. Had trouble locating purchase receipt so it may be out of warranty, but regardless, I’m hoping to fix it myself.

Nov 8, 2020 · It would be best to send it to a Qualified Dewalt Technician to fix your motor....they do understand that the motor is not exactly that same when it comes to a Type 1 or Type 12...and they would, I assume, know what to do in order to fix your motor. I did manage to fix my motor...with some concerns.

Sep 15, 2015 · Since dewalts 20V batteries are actually only 18V. The two batteries would contain the same energy but it is output differently and the tools will have a different efficiency. The 36V (dewalt will call it 40V) will likely use the energy faster for a more powerful tool which may result in fewer cuts per charge although they would be faster.

I’m trying to cut a dado and when the saw is in operation, the blade creeps down and I cannot cut an accurate dado. I can watch the hamdwheel turn on its own due to vibration. Is there an adjustment to ‘tighten’ the screw to prevent this from happening?
