Rod Stewart is bringing his distinctive singing voice back on the road next year when he tours his new album The Tears of Hercules alongside his hits from the past 50 years. But he told ITV's Loose Women that he once completely lost his voice and had to learn how to sing again after he overcame thyroid cancer.

Sir Rod Stewart has once again taken up the mic after a viral infection forced him to cancel a concert earlier this month. The Maggie Mae singer, 78, is currently on his world tour, but plans were scuppered when he fell ill and cancelled a gig in Geelong, Australia last-minute.
