    Where did kunekune pigs come from?
    The kunekune is unique to NZ. Origin is unknown, mostly because there is a lack of documented evidence on when exactly they arrived and how many. Early records did not distinguish between breeds of pigs. Captain Cook brought two types of pigs- large feral pigs called Captain Cookers and Small Whites from Yorkshire (now extinct).
