Apr 7, 2023 · Since then, i have tried to resolve this by getting rid of all my bing extensions (that i'm aware of) and changing all my default browsers (that i'm aware of) to google chrome, all of which did not resolve the problem. I then searched the internet and found that it may have been microsoft rewards creating the issue - once again nothing changed.

When I click the three dots on the right side of Bing I am given the options to "Make default" and "Edit." As with most (or all) things Microsoft these days, users can no longer choose what they want to install, update, or delete.

This will not change the Search History settings within the Windows 8 Bing Application. Search history WILL persist across any/all instances of your Windows 8 Bing application and also to the web experience (Bing.com), but search history SETTINGS will not persist between the application and the web experience
