A ventriloquist is a puppeteer, a comedian, an impersonator, and actor, a skilled linguist and a technician of the art. Skills accomplished simultaneously without any apparent effort on the part of the performer.

It is an interesting and comedic form of entertainment. The performer creates conversations between themselves and their puppets while still making it seem that the puppets are speaking on their own. This form of art allows the audience to suspend their belief and accept the puppet as a separate entity form the performer.
