The Shire of Plantagenet Administration Centre is located in Lowood Road Mount Barker, 359km south of Perth and 50km north of Albany on Albany Highway. The Shire of Plantagenet acknowledges the traditional custodians of our area and their continuing connection to the land and community.

The Shire of Plantagenet is a local government area in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, managed from the town of Mount Barker, 360 kilometres (224 mi) south of Perth and 50 kilometres (31 mi) north of Albany.

The Shire of Plantagenet is predominantly rural, with residential areas in the township of Mount Barker and several rural-residential villages. Mount Barker is the commercial centre of the Shire, with smaller settlements at Kendenup, Narrikup, Porongurup and Rocky Gully.

The Shire of Plantagenet is north of Albany and Denmark, and 350km south of Perth. The Shire takes in the towns of Mount Barker, Kendenup, Narrikup, Rocky Gully and Porongurup.

The Shire of Plantagenet is located in the southern part of the Great Southern Region of Western Australia and is bordered by the Shires of Denmark, Manjimup, Cranbrook, Gnowangerup and the City of Albany.

The Shire of Plantagenet Executive Management Team is headed by the Chief Executive Officer and three Executive Managers who manage the operations of the Shire.
