May 3, 2017 · Dead snail, just a hollow tube now. This is what i like to see and shows some form of this method is making the snails die without being crushed. It's lack of food, maybe the bumble bee, maybe the Coral Snow, maybe a combo of all? Somethings working though

Jul 26, 2020 · It was an unknown snail laying the eggs. I saw the culprit a few days later, but I didn't snag a pic of it. It was on the magnetic scraper again, but it fell off when I was cleaning. It's not one that I intentionally added, so it must have come in by a lobo I added recently. On a separate note, my clowns did lay eggs!

Feb 4, 2021 · There have been many posts regarding vermetid snail management on Reef2Reef. You will find personal experiences that run the gambit. I too have a bit of a vermetid snail problem. I typically ignore them but they have encircled a few of heads of my hammers and their mucus nets definitely irritate them.

Oct 1, 2019 · Yes, the red legged scarlet reef hermit crabs are safer with snails. I have these with nassarius and trochus snails w/o issue. Leaving larger emtpy shells will help crabs to move into them as they grow. FYI - Some snails cannot upright themselves if they flip over (trochus) & unless u help flip them, the snail will die.
