Assuming the Louvre is still selling tickets on site (I haven't checked), there will be separate lines for those with tickets and those needing to buy tickets. Now because of the way ticketing works at the Louvre with entries not to the whole museum but to the wings, they enforce the 'one visit' rule by only allowing entry to each wing once.

Oct 2, 2024 · Andrea, I checked the entrances for the Louvre. The Porte de Lions is not usually open. The Porte (Passage) de Richilieu is open only for groups and annual pass holders. That leaves you with the Pyramid entrance and the Carrousel entrances.
