    1. Choose the right band or cable machine for you.
    2. Position the band or cable on a piece of immobile exercise equipment or a vertical bar.
    3. Stand with your shoulders back and down, glutes tightened, and rib cage over your pelvis.
    4. Grab the resistance band or cable handle and turn to the side.
    5. Push the resistance band or cable directly out in front of you.
    6. Bring the handle back to the center of your chest and repeat for 8 to 12 reps on each side2.
