In Windows, search for and open On-Screen Keyboard. The On-Screen Keyboard is displayed. Click Options. In the Options window, select the Turn on numeric keypad check box, and then click OK. The On-Screen Keyboard now displays a numeric keypad. Click NumLock to enable the numeric keypad.

To enable the Numpad on your laptop or keyboard, you have to turn on the num lock. It is pretty easy to do. Find the num lock key on your keyboard. Press the “ Num lock ” key once. This should enable the Numpad on Windows. You will see a corresponding light turn on when the Numpad is enabled.

To set Numlock to be on every time you start the computer, double click InitialKeyboardIndicators, change the value data to 2, and click OK. Repeat this process for the other user entries in your registry (unfortunately, you'll have to do it manually for each one).

To activate the embedded numeric keypad functionality, find and press the Num Lock key. That key may also be a secondary function of another key, like one of the function keys. You need to press Fn plus the key with the Num Lock secondary function to toggle the embedded numeric keypad.
