Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield says he is on track to getting "back to my true self" after undergoing surgery Wednesday to repair a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder.

Mayfield is dealing with a shoulder injury that stemmed from a dislocation he suffered in Week 2. The shoulder has bothered him since that time and he aggravated the injury in Week 6. Mayfield was tripped up by J.J. Watt while scrambling to his left in an effort to complete a pass or scramble for a first down.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield had surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn labrum in his left, non-throwing shoulder. The injury was suffered in week 2 and lingered throughout the year, becoming worse and resulting in a post season surgery.

FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reports that Mayfield has a fractured humerus bone in his left arm in addition to the torn labrum on the left (non-throwing) shoulder. In addition, Glazer quoted Mayfield as telling him that the fractured bone is preventing him from returning to action.
