    To use quotations in a sentence, follow these guidelines:
    1. Use quotation marks when you want to use the exact words of someone else in your writing.
    2. Choose either double or single quotation marks for the main sentence within quotes.
    3. Capitalize the first letter of a direct quote from a source.
    4. Put a comma before a full quote.
    5. Lowercase quoted material that appears mid-sentence.
    6. Include punctuation in the quote inside the quotation marks.
    7. Put quotation marks around common sayings.
    8. Use quotation marks to emphasize a word or phrase.
