  1. In the simplest terms, each weekly set of rankings is a list of the point totals earned by players at tournaments in the last 52 weeks. At the conclusion of every tournament, the rankings drop points earned the previous year and replace them with the points won in the just-concluded event. It’s a simple system that can’t discriminate.
