This fabric can be made from a variety of synthetic fibers, including viscose, polyester, and rayon, in addition to pure silk. It has a wrinkled surface and is decorated with exquisite draping.

Plain-weave georgette is usually the most affordable option and features a tight weave with small creases all over the material's surface. Crinkle-weave georgette offers more texture and has larger creases running along the length of the material's surface.
