The answer to the question, “Can you get a red lightsaber” is no. While it is unfortunate you can’t wield a badass crimson blade in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, it does make sense from a story perspective. According to the Star Wars lore, the red tinge of a Sith’s lightsaber comes from the Sith bending the kyber crystal to their will.

Unfortunately, there is currently no option to recolor your lightsaber red in the Fallen Order. While there is still the possibility that Respawn may add the color in the future, we believe that the option will remain out of the game due to the simple fact that Cal is a Jedi, and Jedi don't usually associate with the red lightsaber.

The good news is that by simply playing through Jedi: Fallen Order’s New Journey+ mode, you’ll automatically unlock the red lightsaber. Simply then head to the back of the Mantis ship and interact with the workbench to select the new red lightsaber color.

Launch a New Journey Plus playthrough and then head to your lightsaber customization bench on the Mantis as soon as you can. A red kyber crystal option should’ve been automatically added to your options. On the lightsaber hilt page, you should’ve unlocked another addition: Protection and Defense I & II.
