Nick Saban may be retired from coaching Alabama, but he isn’t leaving college football. ESPN announced it has hired Saban as a College GameDay analyst for the 2024 season. The former Crimson Tide coach will also contribute to ESPN’s NFL Draft and SEC Media Day coverage.

Nick Saban, who ended his high-profile run as head football coach at the University of Alabama last month, is headed to ESPN. The championship-winning coach will become a regular on the network’s popular show College GameDay and is also slated to appear elsewhere on ESPN, including on coverage of the NFL Draft this spring.

The newly retired coach will now be a regular on ESPN’s College GameDay. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Saban would be joining the long-running college football program as an analyst, which is where he will do most of his work. However, Saban will also make appearances on the network during the annual NFL draft and SEC Media Days.

Nick Saban wasn’t fully retired for very long. ESPN announced Wednesday that the former Alabama coach would serve as a college football analyst for the network in 2024. ESPN said that Saban would work “primarily” as an analyst on its “College GameDay” pregame show.
