Following her retirement, Daniella Guzman and Keith Garvin will begin anchoring KPRC 2 News at 5 p.m. starting Monday. The departures come a year after the retirement of longtime anchor Dominique Sachse in Oct. 2021 after three decades on KPRC 2.

KPRC 2 appears to have had a revolving door at the station as of late. Earlier this month, morning traffic anchor Anavid Reyes announced her last day at the station would be in April. In addition, March 1 was the last day for anchor/reporter Brandon Walker at Channel 2.

Walker joins the growing list of recent departures from KPRC 2 including anchor and reporter Brandon Walker in January, traffic anchor Anavid Reyes in March and anchor Syan Rhodes earlier this month. Sabirah Rayford, who joined the station in 2021 and was the weekend morning anchor, has been moved from the anchor desk into reporting exclusively.
