Australian Jai Hindley won the Tour de France’s fifth stage, the first in the mountains, and took over the yellow jersey as overall race leader. Hindley, who won last year’s Giro d’Italia, prevailed Wednesday by 32 seconds over a group that included 2022 Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard.
