Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Toni Kroos will retire from professional football after Euro 2024. The 34-year-old has enjoyed a trophy-laden career with Real since he joined them from Bayern Munich in July 2014, winning both La Liga and the Champions League on four occasions.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has come out of international football retirement for Euro 2024 hosts Germany. Kroos, 34, was part of the Germany team who won the World Cup in 2014. and has won 106 caps for Die Mannschaft. He retired in July 2021 but has now reversed the decision after talks with Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Tonis Kroos has surprisingly announced he will retire from professional soccer at 34 years old. The Real Madrid and Germany midfielder will play his last games with the Blancos including the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on June, 1 and then the UEFA 2024 Euro with his national team before retiring.

Real Madrid says Toni Kroos will retire from soccer after the 2024 European Championship. Madrid says the 34-year-old German international “has decided to bring an end to his time as a professional footballer following Euro 2024.”

Kroos actually retired from international duty in 2020 following a 2-0 defeat to England in that summer's Euros, but after four years out of the fold, he announced he would return in early 2024 after being approached by Julian Nagelsmann.
