    A sinus of Valsalva aneurysm is a rare condition where one or more of the sinuses (pockets) that connect the aorta to the aortic valve become enlarged. Causes include congenital heart defects, atherosclerosis, and trauma. Symptoms are often absent, but may include chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, heart murmurs, and arrhythmias.
