Follow the steps below to create a project plan template in Excel:

1. Open Microsoft Excel and create a new workbook.
2. Rename the first sheet as “Project Plan” or any name of your choice.
3. In the first row of the worksheet, enter column headings such as Task Name, Description, Start Date, End Date, Duration, Assigned To, and Status.
4. Fill in the tasks and their descriptions in the corresponding cells under the Task Name and Description columns.
