Currently, Sheamus is sitting on the bench with a shoulder injury that has kept him out of action since last year, with his last televised match being against Edge (now known as Adam Copeland).

However, that's not the case, as Sheamus is still with WWE. The 45-year-old is currently on hiatus because of a shoulder injury he suffered during his match. His WWE contract is set to expire in 2024, around WrestleMania 40 next year.

Sheamus hasn't competed in a WWE ring since he was defeated by Edge in what could be the "Rated-R Superstar's" final-ever match for the company. While his absence hasn't been addressed by the company, Dave Meltzer has revealed on the latest "Wrestling Observer Radio" that Sheamus is currently out of action due to a really bad shoulder injury.

Sheamus has been out of action since August 18 when he sustained a loss to Edge in what turned out to be his final WWE match as Adam Copeland has since signed with All Elite Wrestling. It emerged soon after that Sheamus was on the shelf with a "really bad" shoulder injury.
