Sir Rod Stewart has insisted that there is ‘absolutely no rift’ between him and his wife Penny Lancaster. The Maggie May rockstar, 79, has opened up about their relationship in the wake of rumours he and Penny, 53, were going through a rocky patch over an apparent dispute over whether they should be based in the US.

The 79-year-old rocker disputed reports his marriage to Penny Lancaster is on the rocks, explaining to fans he "wanted to put the record straight". "There is absolutely no rift between Penny and I and no disagreement over where we should reside, in fact it's the opposite," he wrote.
