  1. Pep Guardiola (born January 18, 1971, Santpedor, Spain) is a Spanish professional football (soccer) manager. Formerly a player, he starred as a defensive midfielder for FC Barcelona (1990–2001) and later managed that team (2008–12) as well as other prominent clubs such as Bayern Munich (2013–16) and Manchester City FC (2016–).
