The route will pass through nine of the Île-de-France region’s districts, against a backdrop of some of Paris’ most well-known monuments, the Paris region’s iconic parks and forests, and the majestic Palace of Versailles site: Paris, Boulogne-Billancourt, Sèvres, Ville d’Avray, Versailles, Viroflay, Chaville, Meudon and Issy-les-Moulineaux.

From its start at the Trocadéro in Paris, the road race route takes the men's and women's pelotons through the Chevreuse Valley before a final climb on the Butte Montmartre. For the first time in Olympic history, men and women will share the same route for their time trials.

The course for the Paris 2024 Olympic marathon has been announced. The race will visit some of the French capital city’s most famous monuments, starting at the ​​Hotel de Ville, before passing by Versailles and ending at Les Invalides.

Starting at the Hotel de Ville in Paris, the route - including 436m of altitude gain - will pass famous monuments including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum and the Palais Garnier, and finish on the Esplanade des Invalides.
