Jan 22, 2020 · I have enable IIS(Internet Information Service) from windows feature. After the installation I have restart the PC. The problem is I'm unable to see the IIS manager when I start it (not displaying). but, Inetmgr.exe is running in background service and I can see the application showing in taskbar too. Can anyone help me to fix this issue.

Apr 28, 2022 · I have enabled everything under internet information services in windows features. When I open IIS, I see the icon in the taskbar, but nothing really displays. I also see InetMgr.exe in task manager. I also see Internet Information Services(IIS) 6.0 Manager and Internet Information Services(IIS) Manager in mmc.exe when i click add snap-in.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to run these Remove-WindowsFeature, Install-WindowsFeature commands because a windows 10 client-based operating system is installed on my workstation. Although I think these commands would accomplish the same as the GUI for Turning Windows features on or off that I already tried.

Windows 10 updated while I was in the middle of work, took over 3 hours to update, when finally finished IIS had uninstalled itself and I had to reinstall, recreate all websites, and reinstall additional modules, resulting in an afternoon of lost work.
