A total of 172 athletes (86 per gender) will participate in the table tennis competition at Paris 2024. 164 (82 per gender) of them will qualify via Olympic quota places, while two (one per gender) of them will qualify via Universality places. France as the host country will secure six quota places (three per gender).

The Olympics are by far the most important competition in table tennis. 172 Athletes from at least 35 nations get to compete to try and reach the top. This time around at Paris 2024, 5 events will be played: The men’s team and men’s singles events, the women’s team and women’s singles events, and the mixed doubles event.

Table Tennis will start with Men’s and Women’s Singles Event on 27th July and end with Women’s Team Final match on 10th August 2024. The final match will decide the Gold and Silver Medalists. The other two semifinalists will battle for the Bronze Medal.
