Northumberland Coastal Route The Northumberland Coastal Route is a tourist route along the Northumberland coast. From the A19 at Moor Farm Roundabout, it takes the A189 to Ashington, the A1068 to Lesbury and then the B1339, B1340 and B1342 along the coast to reach the A1 at Belford.

The Route. The Northumberland Coast Path starts in the pretty village of Cresswell at the southern end of Druridge Bay it then hugs the Northumberland Coast taking in the fishing town of Amble and the villages of Warkworth, Alnmouth, Craster, Seahouses before reaching Bamburgh, a village dominated by the mighty Bamburgh Castle.

The Northumberland Coast Path runs from Creswell in the south of the county, and heads to Berwick-upon-Tweed at the north. You can see the route using the map above. Using the controls you can scroll around, zoom in and explore the route.

The Northumberland coast offers some of the finest coastal walking in Europe. The Northumberland Coast Path follows this stunningly beautiful coastline for 100 kilometres (62 Miles) from Cresswell in the south to Berwick-upon-Tweed in the north.
