In VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), the Dim statement is used to declare variables and allocate storage space for them. The term Dim is short for "Dimension" and is often found at the beginning of macro codes. It allows you to specify the name and type of the variable you want to use in your code.
Syntax and Usage
The basic syntax of the Dim statement is as follows:
Dim [variable name] As [type]Here, [variable name] is the name you want to give to your variable, and [type] is the data type of the variable. For example:

Declaring Arrays
