The most common way to say it is zài jiàn, which means “See you again.” You can also say bài bài, which is simply the English phrase “bye bye.”

Hǎo means “good.” “Nǐ hǎo” literally means “you good,” and it’s a shorter form of nǐ hǎo ma, which translates roughly to “How are you?”
