The Museum for Hamburg History (German: Museum für Hamburgische Geschichte) is a history museum located in the city of Hamburg in northern Germany. The museum was established in 1908 and opened at its current location in 1922, although its parent organization was founded in 1839.

The museum building, designed by Fritz Schumacher and opened in 1922, presents the multifaceted development history of the city of Hamburg from its beginnings around 800 to the present times, and is now one of the largest city history museums in Europe.

The museum presents the history of the city – from Hammaburg to proud Hanseatic city when it was literally the “gateway to the world”. You can find out everything from the pirates of the 14th and 15th centuries to how the city developed into a modern metropolis and became one of the most important ports in Europe.

The museum was named hamburgmuseum in 2006. It is located near the Planten un Blomen park in the center of Hamburg. The museum has many artifacts from preserved by the Society of Hamburg History founded in 1839. The Petri portal from Hamburg's St. Petri Church, built in 1604, was built into the museum courtyard.
