Sacagawea Dollar w/no date or mint mark - Coin Talk
Jun 17, 2010 · I can tell you I know the coin was minted between 2000 and 2003 b/c it was one of 50 on an anniversary tree made for my Mother and Father's 50th in Aug. 2003. The laminate is intact, there is no date or mint mark. And obviously being from the earlier years it doesn't have a mint mark along the edge.

May 8, 2013 · Die chips and cuds are also commonly occurring "raised/relief" types of errors. You didn't mention those. Also, where you talk about die gouges, mentioning that this "raised" effect is also seen on coins were the dies have been crudely repaired, with die polishing marks cut into the die (and subsequently, raised on the final struck coin).

Curiously the cent denomination is the longest and most continuous in production by the US mint, even during the depression there was low demand, but enough to warrant minting them. The only year the cent was not minted was 1815, due to a lack of supply of blanks that were purchased from Britain.

We can't compare to alexander tets as these were minted in dozens of different cities, that's why I compared to Syracuse, both cities being quite strong and influential.
