Snowboards and carving boards are restricted from use and that policy will extend through to the new Mayflower Mountain property. Mayflower Mountain Resort is being constructed just to the east of Deer Valley Resort. Ski Magazine says Mayflower Mountain Resort will be the first non-private ski resort in the U.S. since 2004.

Mayflower’s 400 skiable acres are enough to operate an independent ski area, though it pales in comparison to the 2,000 plus acres of terrain on tap at Deer Valley. From a skier’s perspective, the limited area makes far more sense as an addition to Deer Valley than it does as a standalone destination.

Mayflower Mountain Resort is located on a 6,800-acre swath of land overlooking the Jordanelle Reservoir. It was once the sleepy backside of Deer Valley Resort, but is now gradually taking shape.
