Along with this, he has increased speed and agility, giving Croc the ability to leap and jump unlike any human being. Croc also possesses regenerative powers that allows him to heal quickly and to even grow back lost limbs. Killer Croc appears in several episodes of Batman: The Animated Series.

Originally, Killer Croc was born with a birth defect which left him with reptilian DNA. He trained himself to become a great wrestler and could remain underwater for lengthy periods of time. He was strong enough to trade punches with Batman, and considered his strength to be equal to a "croc's", most notably his jaw strength.

After he was infected, he became a criminal. In the DC Comics, Waylon Jones, known as Killer Croc, is an enemy of Batman who was born with a type of atavism that caused his skin to regress and turn him into a crocodile-like person. He debuted in Detective Comics #523 (February, 1983).

Diminished Intellect: Killer Croc's mind, once possessing above average intelligence, has now lessened greatly due to his advanced mutation level and the specialized virus designed to advance it created by Hush. He is a high school dropout, but has proven to be moderately capable of organizing thugs in small-time racketeering operations.
