Running Java in a web browser involves enabling the Java plugin, which allows Java applets to run within the browser. However, due to security concerns and the evolution of web technologies, many modern browsers have discontinued support for Java applets. Here is a guide on how to enable Java in various browsers where it is still possible.
Enabling Java in Internet Explorer
Open Internet Explorer.
Click on Tools and then Internet Options.
Select the Security tab and click on the Custom Level button.
Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets.
Ensure the Enable radio button is checked.
Click OK to save your preference1.
Enabling Java in Safari
Open Safari and select Preferences.
Choose the Security option.
Select Allow Plug-ins and then click on Manage Website Settings.
Click on the Java item and select an option (Ask, Allow, or Allow Always) from the pulldown list.
Click Done and close the Safari Preferences window1.
