Despite the early trend for calling Grogu Baby Yoda prior to Luke Skywalker revealing his name, there’s no evidence that the young force-wielder is related to the former Jedi Master. However, there’s a strong chance that all or some of the mysteries surrounding Din Djarin’s adopted son will be solved.

Some fans have theorized that Grogu, the so-called "Baby Yoda," may actually be the son of Yoda and Yaddle, the only other members of his species seen in the Star Wars films. And while fans have come up with numerous theories, including one suggesting that Grogu is Yoda reincarnated, evidence suggests it's more likely that Grogu is Yoda's son.

Mandalorian has already confirmed that Grogu is not a Yoda clone. And even though it's unlikely Grogu is Yoda's son, fans are pretty sure Yoda at least knew about Grogu, since Ahsoka revealed that Grogu was trained at the Jedi Temple at Coruscant.

When combined with the effective ban on families and romance within the Jedi Order, it's thus highly unlikely that Grogu is the child of Yoda and Yaddle. At the same time, it's highly possible that they were his biological parents, hiding the child for both his sake and their own after disassociating with him.
