EX Ruby & Sapphire is the name given to the first main expansion of the EX Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. In Japan, it was released as Expansion Pack, the first expansion in the Pokémon Card Game ADV Era. It is based on Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, featuring Generation III Pokémon.

The EX: Ruby & Sapphire set is the first of the sets based on the third generation and the first in the long-line of EX sets. This set is the first set done in-house by Nintendo. Like the previous e-Reader sets, many of the cards include Dot Code for scanning into the e-Reader. This set brought the major new feature of Pokémon ex.
