1. Set a margin of 1 inch (2.5cm) on all four sides of your manuscript.

2. Align text to the left.

3. Use Times New Roman font, at 12 point size.

4. Use black text on a white background.

5. Indent each paragraph by half an inch (1.25cm).

6. Double space lines.

7. Single space between sentences.

8. Use a blank line to indicate scene breaks.

9. Create a header in the top right corner by using your last name, then selecting a keyword from your manuscript, followed by the page number.

10. Begin chapters on new pages.
