To calculate the frequency of an overtone, you need to multiply the fundamental frequency by a whole number multiple. For example, the first overtone (second harmonic) will have a frequency twice that of the fundamental frequency, the second overtone (third harmonic) will have a frequency three times that of the fundamental frequency, and so on. The frequency of the nth harmonic is given by fn = n * f, where f is the fundamental frequency and n is the harmonic number. The period of the nth overtone is given by Ton = 1 / fn.
