Robby Benson was one of the most popular teen idols back in the ’70s! His popularity continued for decades, and you might recall his voice as the Beast in Disney ‘s classic 1991 film Beauty and the Beast. These days, Robby is now 66 years old and has dabbled in a few other career opportunities.

According to his website, Benson is currently on hiatus from teaching while he develops a new musical "I Hear A Song!" He met his wife, Karla DeVito, when they both starred in the Broadway production of "The Pirates of Penzance" in 1982. They have two children, daughter Lyric and son Zephyr.

A few years ago, Benson had a heart ailment and had undergone four heart surgeries to correct a murmur and valve issues. Fortunately, all went well, and now he is feeling better than ever. After an eight-year hiatus from the show biz, he returned to the screens in his latest project, the Hallmark Channel film “A Feeling of Home.”
