Organizing and summarizing search results for you
To care for an abandoned baby bunny, you should:
    • Make a temporary shelter and safe space for the bunny out of a wooden or plastic box and hay.
    • Keep the bunny warm and away from noises and stress.
    • Feed the bunny formula for the first 6 weeks of their life before introducing them to grass, vegetables, and fruits.
    • Stimulate urination and defecation and source nutritious cecotropes.
    • Help the bunny pee or poop, clean their box, and give them ample space.
    • Release the bunny back into the wild when they’re 6 to 8 weeks old, as long as they're strong, healthy, and self-sufficient.
    • If the bunny is injured, take it to a veterinarian.
    • If the bunny is orphaned, take it to a wildlife rehabilitator. If this isn't an option, care for it until it's old enough to be set free.
