Visiting the Kelpies at night is a completely new experience. Even though the visitor’s center closes at 5:00pm, you can walk up to the Kelpies at any time of the day or night. Each evening, the Kelpies are illuminated for magical sightings of these two gigantic horse head sculptures.

Do the Kelpies light up every night? Yes, the Kelpies are lit up every night so if you happen to be around at dusk then it’s a good time to head over to see them completely different to how they are in the day. They often light up in different colours and sometimes are lit up for charity with colours that are symbolic.
