Huawei has this flower-shaped logo that symbolizes the Hua word that means petals or lavish in Chinese. The second syllable that we can find in their name means achievement or action.

“Huawei” in Chinese means “flower.” Therefore, the company emphasized just that sense. Also, one of the characters included in the word resembled the debut version of the logo. At first, the designers tried to connect the pattern of a blooming half-bud, in which there are many thin petals, with the image of the sun.

The emblem hinted at the meaning of one of the hieroglyphs forming the word “Huawei” in Chinese – it means “flower.” The earliest logo contained some of the elements that have been used on the following versions, too: the multiple petals, the red color, and the upward movement (similarity with the rising sun).
