Tottenham's Harry Kane could be out for a "few weeks" after injuring both ankles in the Premier League defeat by Liverpool, says his boss Jose Mourinho. Kane, 27, needed treatment on his left ankle after landing awkwardly following a challenge with Jordan Henderson.

Tottenham star Harry Kane suffered an apparent ankle injury against Everton to put his role in next week’s Carabao Cup Final in doubt. Kane, who has a history of ankle problems, appeared to twist his ankle after getting it caught under a falling Richarlison in the closing stages of Spurs’ 2-2 Premier League draw at Goodison Park on Friday night.

"Following ongoing assessment by our medical staff over the past week, we can confirm that Harry Kane will undergo surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his left hamstring," a Spurs statement said.
